Every Around Me listing is confirmed from its premises every 6 months. It takes a few seconds and it’s free on every tier.
How to confirm
- Go to your business.
- Open Around Me and tap My business.
- Choose the listing and tap Confirm.
The app checks that your phone is within 150 metres of your listed location and that the reading is accurate to 50 metres. If so, you’re done: the next due date is set 6 months ahead and your listing shows the new “Confirmed on site” date.
You can confirm early — any time. The next due date is always counted from the day you confirm.
Reminders
We email the account holder 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before the due date. The due date is also shown on each listing in My business.
What if I miss it?

Paid tiers too. Gold and Platinum listings are hidden in exactly the same way if they’re not confirmed, and the paid period keeps running while hidden.
“You appear to be too far away”
- Make sure you’re at the premises, and wait for the accuracy reading to settle.
- If the business has moved, use We’ve moved instead — see moving, closing or handing over.
- If you’re sure you’re in the right place and it still fails, contact us.
