About Around Me
Around Me — also written AroundMe — helps people find local businesses they can walk into, close to where they are.
What Around Me is
Around Me is a free mobile app and website at aroundme.guide. Open the app, pick a category such as restaurants, cafés, barbers, pharmacies or garages, choose how far you’re happy to go, and see the businesses around you — with distance, opening hours, contact details, and one tap to call or get directions. Businesses that are open right now are shown first.
Why we built it
Online listings go out of date. A shop closes or moves, and the old listing stays up until someone turns up at a locked door. Around Me only lists businesses with a door customers can walk through, and each one is added by someone standing at the premises. Listings are confirmed from the premises every 6 months, and ones that aren’t drop out of search.
