Terms of use

The agreement between you and Around Me.

1. About these terms

Around Me is provided by FTV London Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07685945), Suite 15, 4 Talbot Road, Bayswater, London W2 5LH. Contact: hello@aroundme.guide. By using the app or website you agree to these terms.

2. For customers

Listings are provided by businesses. On-site confirmation shows a listing was confirmed at its location on the date shown; it is not a guarantee of opening hours, quality, licensing or safety. Check important details with the business directly.

2a. Reviews

Reviews must be your own honest experience of a business you have visited. Don’t post reviews of your own business or a competitor’s, reviews you were paid or rewarded for, or anything abusive, discriminatory, personal about staff, or unlawful. We may hide any review that breaks these rules or that we reasonably believe is fake, and we may remove the account that posted it. Businesses can’t pay to remove or hide reviews.

2b. Referral commission

If a business joins Around Me through your invite link, invite code or an invite you shared, you earn 50% of every Gold or Platinum payment that business makes in its first 12 months, calculated on the amount we receive after card-processing fees and any tax. Commission becomes available 30 days after the payment; if the payment is refunded before then, no commission is due, and if it is refunded after we have paid you, the amount is deducted from your future commission. We pay by bank transfer once your available commission reaches 20 in that currency (£20, €20 or $20). You can’t earn commission on your own business or on accounts you control, and invites must reach real businesses that stay listed. We may withhold or cancel commission we reasonably believe is fraudulent, and we may change or end the programme with notice; commission already available is still paid. When you share your link you must make clear you may earn a commission. You are responsible for any tax on what you earn.

3. For businesses

  • You must be authorised to list the business and must follow the listing policy.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing and for keeping it confirmed.
  • You give us permission to display the information you submit in the app and on our services.
  • We may review, reject, hide or remove listings in line with the listing policy.

4. Paid upgrades

Gold and Platinum are one-off payments for 12 months, taken by card through Stripe. They do not renew automatically. An upgrade changes ranking only; it does not exempt a listing from confirmation or the listing policy. [CANCELLATION, RENEWAL AND CONSUMER RIGHTS WORDING]
